At OZ Discus, we’re dedicated to delivering your pet fish safely and quickly. With our extensive experience in shipping live fish, every shipment is handled with exceptional care and precision.
To make things easier, we have integrated the available shipping options directly into the checkout process. You can use the shipping calculator to get an estimate which will automatically calculate the weight and shipping charges for your order.

Toll Priority Door To Door Overnight Service

Toll Priority is an excellent choice for shipping live fish due to its speed and reliability. This service ensures that your fish spend minimal time in transit, reducing stress and promoting their well-being.

Important Note: While this service is fast and reliable, it does not include Dead On Arrival coverage. Customers choosing this option need to accept the risk associated with transporting live fish. Unfortunately, we cannot provide compensation for fish that arrive dead or sick due to transport delays.

Air Freight Via Toll Air Express Or Virgin/Qantas Australia

Don’t live in NSW? No problem! Our Air Freight shipping option delivers your live fish to you interstate. This option offers Dead On Arrival coverage, providing you with peace of mind and assurance of fish health upon arrival.

How Does It Work?

Delivery Costs

Once your order is confirmed, we will call you to confirm airport details and costs.

Payment Confirmation

Once we receive your payment, we will provide you with the details for collecting your shipment, including the airport location, AirWayBill (AWB) number, flight number, and estimated time of arrival (ETA).

Pickup Arrangement

We will coordinate with you to schedule a suitable pickup time at your nearest airport.

Collect Your Fish

Use the provided AWB number to collect your fish at the designated airport or distribution centre.

Please ensure you are available to pick up your delivery at the specified time to guarantee the safe arrival of your fish.

Important Note: For customers in Perth, Hobart, Darwin, and Launceston, you must have the appropriate permits and arrange for a quarantine officer to inspect the parcel upon arrival. All related fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Safe & Secure Packaging

OZ Discus are highly experienced in air-freighting live fish, and we ensure that your fish arrive in perfect condition through our meticulous packaging process.

Expert Packaging

All fish are placed in high-quality bags with medical-grade oxygen, ensuring they have the best environment during transit.

Insulated Protection

We use insulted foam boxes that comply with air safety regulations, providing protection against temperature changes.

Temperature Control

Special heat packs are included during winter months to maintain a consistent and comfortable temperature for your fish.

With our safe and secure packaging, you can be confident that we prioritise the health and safety of your aquatic friends throughout their journey.

In the unlikely event that your fish arrive dead, we offer Dead On Arrival coverage for Air Freight deliveries. This means that we will replace the fish at no additional cost. However, customers are responsible for the shipping costs of the replacement, as freight is an external third-party cost.

If you’re unsure about Air Freight delivery, please contact us to check and obtain a specific quote for your area.

Local Pickup

If you live in the Sydney area, you can save on delivery costs by picking up your order directly from our Girraween store. We will call you to arrange a convenient pickup date and time.

We ship to Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide for just $75 a box. No minimum order required!

Post-Delivery

Shipping and delivery can be stressful for live fish. Upon arrival, please gently introduce your fish to their new home by following best practices. For helpful tips, visit our YouTube channel and watch the videos below.

Our photos

All the photos you see on our products are what we have in store.

We do not use any stock photography that misrepresent the fish.

Most of our photos are shot without filtering to try give you the truest beauty and colour of the fish we have. 

Any filters we do use are to account for factors that reduce the colour when taking the photo, such as bad lighting. 

We fix using a quick filter to represent the Discus’s real life colour; best as we are able to by eye. These photos are clearly marked as being edited in ‘PhotoRoom’.
