Shipping Information

We offer 2 types of shipping for our Discus. The reason we only use these 2 services is that they have been tried and tested and been successful in transferring Live Discus to our customers.

For ease, we have integrated the shipping options available at Check Out for you. You can obtain an estimate from the calculator and it will automatically calculate the weight and shipping charges.

Toll Priority Door to Door Overnight Service – As this is a next day delivery service and a door to door courier service, we do not offer DOA (Dead on Arrival) coverage and customers who choose this option need to agree to the risk they are taking when transporting live fish. Fish dying or sick on arrival due to transport delays will not be compensated or refunded.

Air Freight via Toll Air Express or Virgin/Qantas Australia – DOA COVERAGE SERVICE ONLY
This service is a same day/next day airline service as freight from Airport to Airport. This is a guaranteed service and will require you to pick up the parcel at the airport. We will arrange suitable time with you on shipment arrival at your closest airport and we provide you with an AWB (Air WayBill) number which you use to collect your fish. DOA replacements ensures replacement fish are free, however, customers are required to pay for shipping costs again as freight is an external 3rd party costs from OZ Discus. 

NOTE: Perth, Hobart, Darwin and Launceston, you are required to have the right permit and arrange your own QT officer to check the parcel on arrival and all QT fees are borne by the customer/recipient.

Online orders will be attended to after hours.

Our Premium Live Fish Delivery Service – Dead on Arrival Coverage
OZ Discus are highly experienced in air-freighting live fish. All livestock are bagged in quality fish bags with Medical-grade oxygen. They are then packed carefully in insulated, foam boxes which meet Air Safety regulations.

We use special heat packs during Winter months to ensure the fish have a consistent temperature and are comfortable.

We ship with Toll Air Express (Freight Overnight Services – Airport to Airport with DOA coverage) & Toll Priority Door to Door Overnight Service (no DOA coverage) you will receive a shipment notification email or text

Orders are shipped to most major airports or distribution centers.

On receiving your payment from our Invoice, we will advise the airport collection details, AWB, Flight number and ETA.

Notes: You must be available to pick up your delivery from the airport or distribution centres at the specified time.
Livestock Shipping to Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Tasmania, requires a permit and quarantine procedures.

Our photos

All the photos you see on our products are what we have in store.

We do not use any stock photography that misrepresent the fish.

Most of our photos are shot without filtering to try give you the truest beauty and colour of the fish we have. 

Any filters we do use are to account for factors that reduce the colour when taking the photo, such as bad lighting. 

We fix using a quick filter to represent the Discus’s real life colour; best as we are able to by eye. These photos are clearly marked as being edited in ‘PhotoRoom’.
